Sanctions against Russia

The United States and European Union are set to expand sanctions against Russia, if the conflict in Ukraine is not settled.

The party Communists of Russia has suggested it.

The agricultural production sector in Belarus made over $600 million selling food products to Russia just in August-September 2014.

The meeting of the EU committee of permanent representatives was held on Tuesday, October 28.

Huge trucks though to be filled with forbidden Polish tomatoes and other vegetables are being unloaded at the city wholesale market.

Russia bans the imports of Belarusian produce from October 20 over re-export violations of food sanctions introduced by Russian against the EU.

18 tons of Ukrainian tomatoes, re-exported from Belarus, were blocked by Russia on October 10.

The price increase will affect food in the first place as the import of agricultural products from the West is forbidden in Russia.

EP vice-President Ryszard Czarnecki has claimed it.
