Belarusians detained after Barysau football matches
The mass detentions started after Belarus-Ukraine Euro-2016 match (the guests won 2:0).
The police seized over 100 Ukrainian fans, unofficial sources report. There were Belarusians among them, Nasha Niva informed. Policemen detained 25-year-old Artsyom Babounikau (or Babruonikau) who was wearing a Pahonya scarf. Nasha Niva’s cameraman was also detained – the police made him delete his photos. The young man was taken to Barysau Department of the Interior and accused of burning a torch. He saw two girls who claimed to have been detained for Ukrainian symbols, he said.
Uladz Lobah from Mazyr was detained for wearing a white-red-white scarf before the match. He wrote to his friends from a police bus - there were about 30 detained people in it. He is inaccessible at the moment.
