Election results: list of elected MPs
The CEC has published the list of elected MPs. Only two democratic candidates have made it to Parliament – member of the United Civil Party Hanna Kanapatskaya and senior deputy head of the Belarusian Language Association Alena Anisim.
16 representatives of parties have been elected but all of them are members of pro-government parties except for Kanapatskaya from the UCP. There are 3 members of the Belarusian Patriotic Party including its head, ex-presidential candidate Mikalai Ulahovich, in the House of Representatives now. One member of the Liberal-Democratic Party has been elected – Anatol Hishchanka. One of the party leaders, Aleh Haidukevich, has lost to diplomat Valery Varanetski. There will be 8 communists in Parliament. 3 members of the Belarusian Party of Labour and Justice have been elected.
