Opposition to apply for Freedom Day manifestation today
The traditional action is appointed for Wednesday, March 25.
The opposition is planning to apply for the Freedom Day action in Minsk today, on March 9. The organizers discussed the ways of attracting more people to the action last week. In particular, they are thinking about inviting musicians to the manifestation and meeting in order to make it look more like a holiday rather than a protest action.
The action will be traditional and touch upon the independence of Belarus, the organizers said. Its participants will also be able to comment on the war in Ukraine and the murder of Russian oppositionist Boris Nemtsov.
The action dated for the Freedom Day is supposed to be held on March 25.
