10 people detained at the "silent action" in Mahileu
The day before, local activists received a text message "I recommend you to stay at home if you don't want to get to a detention center”.
Human rights defenders are trying to find out the names of the detainees. The action started at 19.00 in a small park in the oppsite of the Lenin square. In the beginning, the park was sealed by policemen in uniform. They were standing at a 30-meters distance from each other. People were admitted to the park selectively.
About 100 people took part in the action. When some of the participants started clapping their hands, people in plain clothes detained them. At least 4 people were detained in the park, and the same number - in Mironau street. All of them were put into a police car. At 19.30 people clapped their hands and left.
