27 Belarusians become citizens of Latvia
Latvian Ministry of Internal Affairs has informed that they were deprived from the status of a non-citizen and can get new passports now.
On the whole, 270 people were granted Latvian citizenship, the majority of them are Russians, Belarusians come next. They needed to prove their knowledge of Latvian language, Constitution, lyrics of the state anthem and Latvian history, informs the web-site delfi.lv.
