Belarusian problems to be discussed at "Riga conference"
Annual forum on the issues of politics and security — "Riga conference 2011" - opens today in the capital of Latvia.
The conference is held for the sixth time and gathers state leaders, ministers, politicians, diplomats, scientists and representatives of mass media in Riga.
According to the portal DELFI, the conference will start with a discussion of prime Ministers of Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland and Finland. They will discuss tasks which the countries of the Baltic region face in the conditions of the economic crisis, as well as the security policy in the framework of the EU and NATO.
Among other issues of the conference there is a discussion on the situation in Belarus, in the countries of Africa and Middle East, and on the role of social networks in political processes. Also, there will be a discussion of experts on the theme of the Belarusian economic crisis in the framework of the forum.
