Pavel Sevyarynets has no hopes for amnesty
He says that the fact that no one is going to subject political prisoners to amnesty is a "special message" for the West.
Co-Chairman of the steering committee for creating the party "Belarusian Christian Democracy" Pavel Sevyarynets has no information with regard to the possible release under the amnesty. Moreover, he doesn't hope for the amnesty either. As for Lukashenka's statements like "stretching the amnesty for the people who should not be released just due to political reasons", he says that this is a special message to the West.
Pavel Sevyarynets: "There is neither information, nor hopes with regard to the amnesty. This (Lukashenka's statement - Euroradio) is a signal to the West, it is not a signal for us. They intend to sell the political prisoners, no one will be released just because".
Let us remind you, in the beginning of May the ideologist of the specialized facility where Pavel Sevyarynets is serving punishment promised to the political prisoner that he might be released under the amnesty. In Sevyarynets' opinion, they bring him false hopes on purpose, to keep him tense. However, he has lost all hopes for the early release by the moment.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs informed yesterday that about 7 600 people would be released under the amnesty.
