UEFA investigates fans’ behaviour at Belarus-Ukraine match
The Football Federation of Belarus is facing a huge fine.
UEFA has started a disciplinary case against the Football Federation of Belarus and the Football Federation of Ukraine in connection with fans’ behaviour during a Euro-2016 selection match.
The BFF may be punished for fans’ political chants and insufficient security measures during the match, by.tribuna.com reports. The Football Federation of Ukraine is accused of fans’ political chants and of using pyrotechnics.
Belarusian and Ukrainian fans’ behaviour will be discussed at a meeting of the UEFA disciplinary body on November 13.
Ukraine won the match in Barysau – 2:0. The whole stadium kept shouting Belarusian and Ukrainian chants – Long Live, Belarus! and Glory to Ukarine! The notorious bad language chant about Putin was also used.
