3 Fair World activists elected in village councils
Members of the Belarusian party of the left have become deputies in Orsha District village Councils.
Anatol Hotsman, Yury Kurhanau and Zhanna Frankova have been elected, Radio Liberty reports.
The opposition party proposed 93 candidates to local councils of different levels all over Belarus. Leader of the Fair World Syarhei Kalyakin who ran for a seat in Minsk City Council was second in Kuibyshau constituency. There were five candidates and director of school #53 Natallya Slyapan won.
At least one member of the steering committee for the creation of the Belarusian Christian Democracy has become a deputy, Euroradio reported earlier. No BPF members have been elected.
