Belarus calls up 1500 men from reserve for military drills
About 1500 people have been drafted from the reserve in Belarus over the past two days. They will take part in a comprehensive checkup of the army’s combat readiness. Some of the men will take the oath on February 9.
A battalion of the 188th engineer brigade was brought to full combat readiness on February 7, vsr.mil.by reports. The soldiers marched and built a river crossing over Svislac River for the troops participating in maneuvers in Asipovicy. The fighters’ air base of the Belarusian Air Forces and Air Defense was also brought to full combat readiness on February 8.
The TV channel Belarus-1 described the manoeuvres of the 103rd air brigade in Lepel District. More than 60 vehicles and about 250 people took part in the manoeuvres in frosty weather at night.
