Local election: Almost 4% voted early
The local elections will be held on March 23 in Belarus, but early voting kicked off on March 18.
3.82% of electors voted on the first day of the early vote. Vitsebsk and Mahilyou Provinces are the leaders – over 4% of electors have voted there, CEC secretary Mikalai Lazavik said. About 3% of electors have already voted in the other provinces.
The CEC explains this relatively high turnout by the fact that ‘electros had a chance to get information about their candidates in advance’, Belarus 1 reports.
