Activists stage protest against animals in circus (photo)
Activists of the movement Ecological Search held an action against the usage of animals in circus shows in Minsk on April 17. The picket near the Minsk Circus lasted for 20 minutes, nn.by reports.
A circus guard approached the activists before plainclothes agents with video cameras began to arrive. A police car arrived when the activists had already left.
The action was timed to mark the International Animal-Free Circus Day.
Some passers-by were indignant, a protester said. A woman with a child asked them to go to some other place and not to spoil children’s holiday.
