Belarus earns $60m on caviar imitation

Belarus has made 60 times more money on selling imitation caviar than on the real product. The country sold 109 kg of black caviar costing $386 000 in 2017 - a 3.2 times growth in exports. At the same time, Belarus sold 10.2 tons of imitation caviar and made $61 378 000!

No wonder that the President recently said: “We should be happy that Belarus is producing red and black caviar. Good job on learning how to make it! This is imitation caviar but it is not worse than in other countries.”
