Belarusian TV channels agitate for early vote
Two major Belarusian TV channels started agitating for an early vote on the evening of September 4. The videos were shown on ONT and Belarus-1. Journalists set Finland, Great Britain, Germany, Japan, the USA and other states as an example. An early vote is a normal thing in those states and some people even vote by post, they reported.
The videos were shown on the eve of the early vote in Belarus (September 6). This procedure usually leads to numerous observers’ complaints because ballot boxes are left unguarded and it results in rigged elections.
The early vote corresponds to all the OSCE’s demands, CEC chairperson Lidziya Yarmoshyna announced in the programme Contours on ONT. She will vote early because she will be very busy at work on September 11, the official said.
