A total of 138 so-called military-patriotic camps will operate in Belarus during the summer of 2026, with space for more than 13,000 schoolchildren. Altogether, 198 camp sessions are planned, according to the Belarusian Defense Ministry.
Forty-seven of the camps will be located directly on military bases, including 33 that will operate around the clock.
Teenagers attending these camps will stay in military barracks or tent camps situated on the grounds of military units. Another 91 military-patriotic camps will be organized by schools.
For the first time in 2026, Belarus required all tenth-grade students to attend 10-day military field camps. Boys underwent drill training, physical conditioning and basic military instruction, while girls were assigned courses in first aid and medical care.
