Belaruskali worker dies, criminal case started
Salihorsk District affiliate of the Investigation Committee has started a criminal case in connection with the death of a Belaruskali worker. The man died in a mine at 5 p.m. on November 2. He was working 420 metres below the surface when methane started being emitted all of a sudden. Its concentration in the air reached 10% (the norm is up to 1%).
The methane exploded and the worker died, the press service of the Investigation Committee reports. Investigators are working on the spot now, they are studying documents and have appointed a number of checkups. The reasons for the tragedy are being found out.
