Contact Group on Ukraine meets in Minsk again
The Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine met in Minsk on December 8. OSCE representative Martin Sajdik urged the sides to clear mines without delay and accelerate the exchange of captives.
"It is necessary to sweep mines without delay, especially along the navigation line so that citizen wishing to cross it would not step on mines,” BelaPAN quotes the diplomat.
It is also necessary to activate the exchange of captives and look for missing people, Sajdik believes. He would like to see progress in the issue by the New Year’s Day. Sajdik urged the sides to use the experience of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
