Dashkevich: Lapatka most adequate person in prison system
The head of Mazyr colony Alyaksandr Lapatka was added on the EU black list accidentally, the ex-political prisoner reckons.
Alyaksandr Lapatka was added on the EU black list as the head of Mazyr colony. Lapatka used to be the head of Horki colony and seemed to be one of the most adequate people in the Belarusian prison system, Zmitser Dashkevich said.
Dashkevich: "He seemed to be one of the most adequate people in the Horki colony and in the whole Belarusian prison system. He has a diploma of a teacher of the Belarusian language and literature. The main repressions in the Horki colony were performed by Petrakovich. He appointed protégés who did everything he told them to – beat people and so on.”
Lapatka was deputy head of Horki colony when Kavalyou, head of the colony, was added on the preliminary EU black list. Then Kavalyou left the position and Lapatka took it. Lapatka was probably added on the black list accidentally instead of Kavalyou, the ex-political prisoner thinks.
