ECB President attacked at press conference (photo)
A woman wearing a black T-shirt has thrown confetti at ECB President Mario Draghi and screamed ‘End ECB Dictatorship’.
ECB President Mario Draghi was attacked during his press conference in Frankfurt. The banker was describing his view of the banking policy when a woman in a black T-shirt jumped on his table and threw confetti at him, RBK reports.
The guards led her out and the bank suspended the broadcast of the press conference.
He woman’s name has not been revealed yet, Sky News reports. It is not clear what made her protest either. The protest may be connected with the financial problems in Greece. The country is trying to get additional money from its creditors including the ECB.
