EU announces Russia sanctions
Rosneft, Transneft, Gazprom Neft, Oboronprom and Uralvagonzavod have been affected.
The EU has forbidden the supplies of duel use items to nine companies of Russia’s defence sector including the concern Kalashnikov. The European Union has also forbidden European companies to export the energy technology that would help Russia develop its Arctic, deep sea and shale oil reserves, RIA Novosti reports.
The EU has also restricted access to credits for a number of Russian state banks and decreased the terms of loans.
State Duma members Zhurov, Levichev, Lebedev, Melnikov, Babakov, Rostech CEO Chemezov and leader of the so-called ‘DPR’ Zakharchenko have been added on the black list.
The USA will announce its Russia sanctions today. This is the West’s response to Russia’s actions in Ukraine.
