EU commissioner Johannes Hahn postpones Belarus visit

The visit by EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn to Minsk will not take place on 17 October, Belarusian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Dzmitry Mironchyk told reporters on Monday.
According to Mironchyk, the visit of the Commissioner is postponed due to unexpected but very important preperatory meetings ahead of the European Council meeting this week.
"We regret that the visit has been postponed. Belarus is interested in continuing and developing cooperation with the European Union, Belarusian MFA press office quotes Dzmitry Mironchyk as saying.
