Graffitist: We work to spread 3D graffiti across Belarus

Vitebsk graffitists, Stas Rabunski and Kiryl Kulikou, have started working on a new level. Now you can see 3D graffiti in the city streets. Optical illusions make you believe that you see real objects that can be touched and that need to be walked around rather than simple drawings.

Euroradio: Graffiti is an art, but it is dangerous as you always have to be wary of policemen and it makes practicing even harder. Did you practice in some training grounds, at home or during happenings?

Stanіslau Rabunskі: People's attitude is not negative. When they see a person writing something on a  wall, they do not like it. But when they see us painting on the asphalt - they like it a lot. The young or the elderly - I have not seen anyone who would not approve of it.

Euroradio: You should start painting in all Belarusian cities or create a school...

Stanіslau Rabunskі: We are working on the idea of painting in all Belarusian cities. People want to see 3D paintings in their cities and we are glad to help them. Speaking about creating a school - we are only 19 years old and we need to finish our own studies.

"Girl with Chainsaw" is Vitsebskers and Internet users' favourite painting. The real size of the picture is 12 metres but the perspective creates a 3D effect that makes people believe that "the girl" is standing in front of them.
