Hockey player Mihail Hrabouski is getting sued in Belarus. He has seized part of the only common use road and has complicated their life, his neighbours say. Mihail Hrabouski has built a house near Ptsich storage pond not far from Minsk. He has encircled his plot of land with a 7 metres high concrete fence. The fence is in the only road in the village, Belarusian Partisan reports.

Four families are trying to struggle for justice, neighbour Alyaksandr Makarau said. They have lodged complaints to the village executive committee, to district and Region Executive Committees, the Public Prosecutor’s Office and other services. The village executive committee obliged Mihail Hrabouski to remove the fence by August 1 subjected him to administrative responsibility for the misappropriation of common use land. Nevertheless, the wall is still there in September. The sportsman’s neighbours have asked officials for explanations. They have been told that Alyaksandr Lukashenka personally allowed a private individual to own common land. The villagers have decided to struggle for justice in court.

Mihail Hrabouski, the only Belarusian NHL player, missed the last season due to a trauma. Information about his participation in the next season will appear today.
