Hungarians protest against Internet tax (video)
Thousands of people have taken part in the mass protest in Budapest.
They urged the authorities to refuse from the plan of imposing a tax on the Internet. The demonstrators shouting ‘Free Hungary!’ came to the main office of the governing party Fidesz. Some people started throwing old computer parts at the building despite the presence of the police, BBC reports.
People avoid paying their phone bills by using the Internet for calls, the government explained. The bill is aimed at reducing the opposition’s activities on the Internet, critics think.
