Interior mulls over three-year stadium ban for football hooligans
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has drafted amendments into the laws that deal with crown control during sporting events. All interested parties and members of the public are invited to discuss the propositions, reports ANT. Interior officials say they took into account the experiences of the United Kingdom, Germany, France and other countries when developing the draft.
Sport hooligans may be banned from attending sporting events for the period between 3 months and 13 years. Stewards not the riot police will be empowered to conduct personal and ID checks during sport matches. Several new terms like fan and volunteer will appear in the new legislation.
