Local election: Candidate beaten up in Mahilou
Opposition activist Aliaksei Paulouski was attacked by an unknown man when handing out his campaign leaflets.
The incident occurred in the evening of March 16 in the residential area in Hryshyna street in the Zavodskaya constituency No 3 for the election of deputies to the Mahilou City Council.
According to Mr Paulouski, the man did not like the leaflets that he was handing out. The man punched the candidate several time before trying to twist his arm. The aggressive man was helped by his son.
When the browl ended, Ales Paulouski called the police. Officers filed a police report about an administrative offence.
