Meeting with Belarusians fighting in Donets Basin organized in Warsaw (photo)
A meeting with Belarusian volunteers from Donets Basin has been organized in Warsaw. Yan Melnikau, 22, and Alyaksei Skoblya, 25, are members of the tactical group Belarus that is part of the Ukrainian volunteer corps Right Sector fighting against pro-Russia militants. While the conflict in Donets Basin is ‘frozen’, the Belarusians are visiting the EU member states to tell people about the situation in the conflict area and share their opinions about the situation in Belarus and Ukraine.
There are over 30 people in the tactical group now, Yan Skoblya said (but there are Belarusians in other groups too). They have collective administration. The young men said that the installation of a monument to Belarusian Alyaksei Charkashyn killed in Donets Basin was a top priority. The monument should appear in Kiev.
Melnikau and Skoblya attended the presentation of Zyanon Paznyak’s books in Vilnius not long ago, Euroradio reported.
