Minsk city authorities okay Nov 4 memorial rally in Losyca neighborhood

Minsk City Executive Committee has allowed the Conservative Christian Party of the Belarusian Popular Front (CCP BPF) to organize an action in memory of the victims of Stalin-era executions in the Losyca Jar (Losyca Pit), Radio Liberty reports. Up to 500 people have been authorized to participate in the rally.
People will gather near the Minsk City Palace of Culture (Mayakouski Street, 129) at 12 – 12.30 p.m. They will walk towards the memorial cross in Losyca Jar along Mayakouski Street at 12.30 – 1 p.m. The rally will finish at 3 p.m.
The rally and manifestation in Loshytsa Yar are traditionally organized by the CCP BPF a week after the rally in Kurapaty. This year’s Dzyady rally was organized on October 28.
