The National Bank of Belarus does not expect a rush in exchange offices due to the the planned denomination of the Belarusian ruble. This was announced on November 5 at a press conference in Minsk by Deputy Chairman of the National Bank Dzmitry Lapko.
According to him, the National Bank sees no reason for the price increase. Lapko said that starting from July 1, 2016, the prices of goods and services will be changed. He recalled that from July 1 until December 31 2016 there will be two prices indicated. And it will not only be done for people to better understand the new prices, but also for "trade organizations not to be tempted to round up prices."
