Belarus brings fresh charges against two Regnum authors

Fresh criminal cases were opened against two authors of the Russian news agency Regnum Syarhei Shyptenka and Yury Paulavets in Belarus, head of the PR department of the Belarusian Investigation Committee Syarhei Kabakovich told Euroradio. Now they are suspected of ‘arousing national, religious and racial hostility (p.3 article 130 of the Criminal Code) and of illegal business (p.1 article 233 of the Criminal Code). All the three suspects (Paulavets, Shyptenka and Dzmitry Alimkin) remain in a pretrial detention center.
As Euroradio reported earlier the Regnum authors were detained in Belarus in December 2016 Paulatevs, Shyptenka and Alimkin wrote articles about the political and economic situation in our country using pseudonyms.
