'The Night of Executed Poets' in Kurapaty - video, pictures

A memorial ceremony titled 'The Night of Executed Poets" took place in the evening of 29 October in Kurapaty, the site of Stalin-era mass executions of Belarusian intellectuals, to mark the so called 'Black Date' in the history of Belarus.
In the night of 30 October 2937, over 100 Belarusian intellectuals - writers, poets, scholars, state figures - were executed in the Minsk prisons and believed to be buried in Kurapaty.
The participants of the ceremony recited poems and extracts from the prose written by the executed literary figures as well as the pieces by contemporary authores dedicated to the repressions theme.
