Officials fire weapons during military drill (photo)
As BelTA reports, at a military firing range of 120-th separate mechanized brigade, officials from various regions were firing weapons. It is planned for them to test their skill in shooting Kalashnikov assault rifles, sniper rifles and rocket-propelled grenade launchers.
They also discussed the use of military equipment in winter conditions, ensuring the territorial army had weapons and means of communication.
As Euroradio reported, on Wednesday, Aliaksandr Lukashenka spoke in Minsk before the participants of the territorial defense drill. He demanded that the troops were ready for real, not just on paper. Particular attention will be paid to the training of chairmen of regional executive committees, who in their posts got promoted to major generals, but do not have military education. Lukashenka stated that there would be inspections of the territorial defense forces in certain areas, the city and the region.
