Plate ‘Republic of Byelorussia’ in front of Lukashenka in Moscow (photo)
It is not clear whether the President paid attention to it.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka took part in a meeting of the CSTO and Eurasian Economic Union leaders in Moscow on December 23. Judging by the photo report on Lukashenka’s official website, the plate ‘Republic of Byelorussia’ was installed in front of him. It is not clear whether the President noticed it.
The official name of our country is ‘Republic of Belarus’. A lot of discussions were started, appeals to state bodies were sent and a Belarusian even sent a complaint to Moscow court because of the distortion of the name in official Russian mass media.
