Belarus to ask money from IMF in Spring 2013
The National Bank plans to discuss the new credit program terms with the International Monetary Fund by that time.
Chairperson
of the National Bank's Administration Nadzeya Yermakova has said this during an
online conference at the web-site of BELTA.
According to her, the IMF administration does not deny there are opportunities
for a new credit program. Signing of the new program with the fund does not
mean just coordination of certain actions and getting the loans. It will be a
positive signal which will allow to significantly increase the attractiveness
of Belarus for the investments, Yermakova thinks.
The last IMF mission warned that any cooperation with Belarus in the future was
possible only in case of system reforms. Alyaksandr Lukashenka replied that our
country could make it without the IMF.
