Opposition to provide its representatives to each 10th electoral district
"Tell the Truth" will have more candidates than their representatives at the districts, and the movement "For Freedom" threw all efforts on Milinkevich.
"Preliminarily, we have 120 in Minsk, 68 in Homel and we are still collecting information about the others", - Anatol Lyabedzka has told Euroradio.
The politician adds that the UCP...did not watch which commissions the party's representatives would be included into. Like, it is useless to take part in the votes counting procedure. The UCP does not even have candidates, and those who run for the election are called by a fashionable word "speakers".
"We don't have candidates for MPs, we have speakers of the campaign "For fair election without Lukashenka". A speaker does not struggle for getting into the Parliament. The main task of a speaker is to convey the UCP's message to as many people as possible".
15 activists of the "Tell the Truth" campaign wished to get into district electoral commissions. This is almost twice less than the number of candidates. There will be 25 candidates. Moreover, the contenders looked for their representatives themselves, says spokesman of the "Tell the Truth" Syarhei Vaznyak.
"Tell the Truth" nominated 15 representatives - the candidates took care of this issue themselves".
The biggest number of representatives to district electoral commissions have been sent by the former communists from the party "Fair World" so far. They say they have nominated 238 representatives all over Belarus. They nominate them mostly in the cities where they have regional party structures, and not all the 36 "Fair World" candidates will have reliable support.
Meanwhile, the BPF candidates should feel the most confident. The party leader Alyaksei Yanukevich says they have nominated 233 representatives to the commissions, while there will be 38 candidates for MPs.
"We filed 233 applications all over Belarus. Of course we paid more attention to the places where the BPF candidates plan to run for the election".
The movement "For Freedom" does not want to offer its representatives to the commissions - the regional structures are not registered. Therefore they had to cooperate with other parties. They say that they haven't managed to cover the whole country, but the district where their leader Alyaksandr Milinkevich runs for MP is fine - 54 representatives at 34 districts.
6,5 thousand electoral districts will be created in Belarus in total. The opposition is going to cover only each 10th of them. We will find out soon how many representatives of the opposition will be registered in the end. Formation of district electoral commissions will be completed by August 9.
