Russia to deploy airbase in Babruisk
Russian Air Force Commander Victor Bondarev says an air base will be deployed in the Belarusian city of Babruisk in 2016.
"The Russian air base will be created in Belarus in 2016. SU-27 fighters will be stationed there,” RIA Novosti quotes Bondarev.
Russian warplanes will be stationed in Babruisk military airfield that is going to be reconstructed, the general said.
Other Belarusian cities were expected to host a Russian airbase earlier – Baranavichy and Lida.
