Sweden publishes unknown submarine’s photo near Stockholm (photo)
The photo of the submarine was posted by Sweden's Ministry of Defense.
The submarine has not left the Swedish territorial waters yet, servicemen report. The photo shows some object rising above the water. The Ministry of Defence cannot say whether it is a submarine, RBK reports.
The area may interest foreign states, the Ministry of Defence notes. However, the rear admiral who is in charge of the search operation refused to confirm the information about a distress signal was sent to Kaliningrad from a Russian submarine.
There is no reason to speak about any state’s connection with the incident and violation of the Swedish territorial waters yet, military men said.
The Russian Ministry of Defence refuted the submarine incident on Sunday.
