The opposition politicians' ratings are not growing, but Yanukovych's rating is going down.
Before the Eastern Partnership summit, the Ukrainians' opinions divided half by half regarding the Customs Union and the EU. In October, more people supported the EU than the Customs Union.
Victor Yanukovych's rating significantly dropped in the beginning of 2011. The rating was low but it was growing until the moment he refused to sign the Association Agreement with the EU. His closest competitor Vital Klychko was only 1% behind. However, suspending of the European integration drastically changed the situation. According to new sociological researches, Yanukovych loses to every opposition candidate except Yuschenko, in the second round.
According to sociologists, if the election happens today, Yanukovych and Klychko will be most likely to get through tot he second round. Klychko wins over Yanukovych in the second tour by a landslide.
Leader of Batkivschina fraction Arsen Yatsenyuk says that the Ukrainian opposition will nominate three candidates to the election. The one who gets to the second round will receive unlimited support of all opposition forces.
