A 22-year-old resident of Svetlahorsk sentenced to 8 years for 'terrorism'
The case was considered by the Homel regional court.
A 22-year-old resident of Svetlahorsk, Maksim Drabnitsa, has been sentenced to 8 years in an strict regime colony for "terrorism" and fined 3,700 BYN, reports "Homelskaya Pravda." Homel Regional Court considered the case in closed session (Judge - Mikalai Dolia).
Human rights activists learned about Drabnitsa in June. Before that there was no official information about the man.
Maksim Drabnitsa was found guilty of joining an "extremist formation" (the "Peramoha" plan) and planning to blow up the railway in the Svetlahorsk region. The state media writes that Drabnitsa was "ready for anything" to stop the war in Ukraine. When the man arrived at the railroad, he was ambushed by law enforcement officers and detained.
