3.6% of Belarus households living in poverty

Belarus has conducted a sample survey of households, with the resulting 3.6% of households living below the poverty line in January-September 2015, BelaPAN reports with reference to the National Statistical Committee. In such families, the amount of resources per person did not exceed the cost of living (1,521,800 rubles per person).

Resources here is money in households, the cost of consumed foodstuffs grown or produced in households, minus material costs for their production, and the value of the received in-kind benefits and payments.

According to the National Statistics Committee, 62.3% of households have per capita income of up to 4 million rubles (210 euros per family member) per month.
