Alyaksandr Lukashenka congratulates Belarusians on Victory Day
The spring of 1945 is an eternal symbol of our ancestors’ heroic deed, he noted.
"The Great Patriotic War was a fierce confrontation of two worlds and ideologies – humanism and Nazism. We will never forget that the decisive contribution in the defeat of Hitler’s Germany was made by the peoples of the Soviet Union,” BELTA quotes Lukashenka.
The whole country honours the Victory heroes these days, the Belarusian President said: “We are immeasurably grateful to you, dear veterans, and we preserve your precept as one of the greatest values – to love our Motherland, protect its interests and will always be united so that no one could insult Belarusians and make us obey their hostile will. Belarusians are winners. This feeling is the source of our pride and strength.”
