Lukashenka monitors Azarenka’s court battle over child

The fate of best-known Belarusian tennis player Victoria Azarenka matters to Alyaksandr Lukashenka, head of Belarus Tennis Association Syarhei Tsyatseryn said.
The child custody fight concerning Victoria’s son Leo will start in the US at the end of October. The Belarusian is suing her ex-boyfriend Billy McKeague, the boy’s father. Azarenka has not been playing tennis since July because of it. Many people were surprised to see how thin Azarenka looked in one of her recent photos. The final match of the Federation Cup Belarus-USA will be held in Minsk Chyzhouka Arena on November 11-12 and Belarus national team is hoping that Azarenka will help there.
Tsyatseryn is hoping to see Azarenka play in Minsk, tennis.by reports. The MFA, Belarus Tennis Federation and ‘some other structures’ are helping her solve her issues, he said. Alyaksandr Lukashenka is monitoring this situation ‘despite being very busy with the state affairs’. Belarus is ready to send ‘a professional’ to the USA so that Victoria could be able to take part in full-fledged sparrings and keep in shape.
