Armenia may join EAEU by autumn
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has announced it.
“We did not plan to join the EAEU this year. But I think that we will sign the agreement this year. It may happen by autumn, we will see,” Sargsyan told Armnews after meeting Russian President Vladimir Putin in Sochi last weekend, BelaPAN reports.
Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan formed the Eurasian Economic Union on May 29 in Astana. The agreement will come into power on January 1, 2015. Armenia may join the EAEU by the end of October, Armenian PM said on July 10.
