Belarus death-row convict appeals to Supreme Court
The death-row convicted resident of Vileyka Henadz Yakavitski has filed an appeal to the Supreme Court of Belarus. The 49-year-old man was found guilty of murdering his female partner and senteced to death by Minsk Regional Court on January 5, 2016, reminds spring96.org
Henadz Yakavitski was got his first conviction when he was 17 years old for taking a bottle of wine from a tipsy by-passer. Yakavitski was then sentenced to three years in prison. In 1989, he receive a death sentence, which was replaced to a lenthgy prison term after appeal. He was also convicted for aliment evasion.
