Belarus’ position on Ukraine to stay unchanged

A meeting of the Defense Council dedicated to the results of the first stage of checking the Belarusian Army’s combat readiness was held in Minsk.

The President commented on the situation in Crimea at the meeting. Belarus’ position in this situation is based on the the country’s national interests, Alyaksandr Lukashenka said. The Kremlin is not exercising any pressure on him, Lukashenka commented on reports about his resistance to the Kremlin’s pressure. However, he admitted that he had been constantly contacting the Russian President.

Belarus has not stopped cooperating with Ukraine, the state leader noted.

Alyaksandr Lukashenka supported Ukraine’s territorial integrity earlier.
