Belarusian NPP does not correspond to Espoo Convention requirements
Astravets NPP violates the Espoo Convention.

Espoo member states concluded that the project of the Belarusian NPP did not correspond to the convention requirements last week in Geneva, the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports. They came to the conclusion on April 15, 2013.
According to the Lithuanian MFA, Belarus has been urged to fulfill the Espoo requirements and take Lithuania’s questions into account. Belarus has also been offered to ask the International Atomic Energy Agency to conduct an independent expertise of the territory chosen for the Belarusian NPP.
