Belarusian population census scheduled for 2019
The next Belarusian population census will be organized in 2019, head of the National Statistics Committee Inna Myadzvedzeva said on STV.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka has ordered to organize the population census at a high level but minimize the expenses, the official said.
There were only two population censuses in the history of independent Belarus – in February 1999 and in October 2009.
The next census will be conducted with the help of tablet computers, Myadzvedzeva said. Furthermore, stationary plots will be used in the first three days of the census. People will be able to come and fill in their forms on tablet computers if they like.
