Belarusians travel less
Belarusians have started travelling abroad less and prefer tours across Belarus, director of the tourism department of the Ministry of Sport and Tourism Vadzim Karmazin told BELTA. There are 91.5 thousand organized tourists who travelled in Belarus last year, he said. There were only 56.2 thousands in 2014. The number of excursionists has increased from 647.5 thousand to 745.2 thousand people.
About 670 thousand people travelled in organized groups in Belarus in 2014 and 534 thousands – last summer. The most popular foreign countries are Russia, Bulgaria, Egypt, Italy, Greece, Poland, Turkey, Montenegro and the Czech Republic.
