CEC accredits 385 international election observers
The Belarusian Central Election Commission has accredited 385 international observers for the coming presidential election, Lidziya Yarmoshyna announced in her video speech.
Yarmoshyna added that most of the international observers represented the CIS (264), BELTA reports.
The CEC is working on people’s complaints, appeals and suggestions now. Citizens have lodged 185 appeals. More than a third of them were complaints not connected with the preparation for the election. Yarmoshyna called them ‘attempts to solve personal problems with the help of the election commission, registered presidential candidates and their election teams’.
The presidential election will be held in Belarus on October 11.
